We have given comical names to the different sections of the bus. The undercarriage storage bays have become ‘the basement’. We are building the bedroom at the rear of the bus on top of the preexisting bus roof. The bedroom roof will extend vertically about 5 or 6 ft which we call ‘upstairs’. (While driving, the bedroom roof is down, we will only extend it when parked). We call the loft above the driver’s seat ‘the mezzanine’ because it is higher than the main floor, but lower than the extended bedroom height.
